Do I have to be a member to participate in the church activities?

You are always welcome at Lutheran Church of the Cross. It doesn't matter if you are a visitor or a part of leadership, we want you to come and hear about Jesus Christ. We invite all people to laugh, worship, study, and be in community with us.

How do I become a member at Lutheran Church of the Cross?

Step 1:  Filled out a Communication Card during one of our services with your contact information.  The church office will send you a letter notifying you of the next membership class.

Step 2:  Attend one of our membership classes. Our classes are offered one Saturday each quarter and led by our Adult Learning Coordinator, Gwen Labovitch.

Saturday, July 24 from 9 am - 2 pm in the Cross Creek Meeting Room.  (NOTE change of date)
No child care provided.  Next class:  September 25

Our membership class is designed not only to help you to have a better understanding of Lutheran Church of the Cross and what membership means but also to know Jesus Christ in a deeper way and to meet others in the faith community.

Step 3:  Agree to commit to becoming an engaged and involved member at LCC.

Membership goes beyond being with us to becoming part of us. As a member, you make a commitment that this is "your church." You become an apart of LCC and LCC becomes a part of you. Membership is about belonging to something bigger then yourself, and becoming an essential part of a community (or family) where every person that belongs must contribute, so that the whole family is served. Each member as a role to play in Lutheran Church of the Cross, and membership is about giving and receiving so that all members might be built up (Ephesians 4).

Step 4:  Receiving of new members.  We will recognize those that completed the membership class and desire to become a member of LCC during the worship service of your choice on a designated weekend.  During the service, as a group you will publicly acknowledge that you know and believe in Jesus Christ, want to grow in your relationship with Jesus Christ and be served and serve in the community of faith.
