A Program of Feeding Children InternationalWe are pleased to be a satellite on the East Side of Des Moines, connected with Kids Against Hunger. This is a ministry that directly feeds the hungry children in South Africa through Blessman Medical Ministries. We have made a commitment to feed 280,000 people a year.
This is a great way to make a real difference for those who are facing hunger-and it is a direct connection to our missionary's work: Lisa Berry as she brings the Gospel to people in South Africa. Kid's Against Hunger is not free however! It costs about $54 for each box of food that is packaged, plus shipping costs of up to $20/box to get it to where people are hungry. When we have groups come it and use our set-up, it costs us the same to have it made-about $74/box, shipping included.
Our next packaging days are October 8,9 and 10.
