The Board of Spiritual Oversight (BSO) consists of five members of the congregation who have been nominated and elected to serve, the Chair of the Board of Administration and the Senior Pastor. This Board has the responsibly of overseeing the life and activities of Lutheran Church of the Cross, making sure that we are adhering to our mission and values in our areas of ministry, assessing the overall spiritual health of the congregation and praying for the ministries of the church. The BSO wants to encourage and equip all members of the congregation to be affective in the area of ministry to which God calls them. This includes supporting opportunities for training in leadership and ministry development. The BSO is also responsible for recommending the annual budgets, changes in bylaws and similar matters that have a church-wide impact. The BSO meets the first and third Tuesdays of each month and members of the congregation are welcome to attend. Members of the BSO serve 5 year terms.

The Board of Administration (BOA) is made of six members who are nominated and elected to serve in specific ministry areas. These areas are: Church Finance, Stewardship, Buildings and Grounds, Supplies and Equipment, Administrative and Staff Support and the Chair. The Chair of the BOA also sits on the BSO. The BOA determines whether all current ministries needs are being met, the availability of resources to meet new ministry proposals, and other issues of a church wide nature that need to be recommended to the BSO. The Board of Administration keeps in regular contact with the Front Line Ministries to aid them in developing their goals and assessing the resources needed to meet those goals. The BOA meets the second Tuesday of each month. Members of this board serve 3 years terms.
