"Do not be anxious about anything,
but in everything, by
prayer & petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God.
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard
your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7
Prayer is essential if we are to carry on God's work. Jesus left
instructions about how to pray and set an example of faithfulness in his
own prayer life. If JESUS depended on fellowship with the Father, how
much more do WE need to spend time alone with God!
PRAYER REQUESTS
At Lutheran Church of the Cross
we are continually seeking to support one another in prayer. While
prayer is a significant part of our worship services, we want to be more
intentional in praying for others on a daily basis. Email your prayer
request (please indicate confidentiality level) or use one of the following opportunities:
- Prayer Teams are available
In the
book of James 5: 14 it says, "Is any one of you sick? He should call the
elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the
name of the Lord."
If you would like a prayer team from the church
to come and pray with you, members of the Board of Spiritual Oversight,
and others are more than willing to do just that. If you would like
prayer, please contact Judy at the church and members of our prayer
teams will be available to you. - Prayer Requests Following Worship:
There
are members from the Prayer Team available to pray with you following
each service. You will be directed during worship as to where they will
be located. - Prayer Request Forms
Personal prayer
requests can be submitted to the Prayer Team, the Staff, or to the Prayer Line. Communication cards (found in the bulletin) can be placed
in the offering plate or given to an usher or staff member. - Prayer Requests During the Week:
Prayer
requests can be submitted anytime during the week by: -Calling the church offices at 967-4818
PRAYER ROOM
The Prayer Room, where
individuals or groups can gather to pray, is located behind the Welcome Center near the Worship Center. As we commit ourselves to prayer, God's
plans and purposes for us are revealed in amazing ways.
PRAYER LINE
Our Prayer
Line is a weekly email listing prayer concerns from members of our
congregation. If you have a concern you'd like included on the Internet Prayer-line or if you'd like to join the prayer team, contact Judy Nay or fill
out a pew card during a worship service and drop it in the offering
plate.
